Someone New to Love...

In the coming months we are going to be blessed to welcome not one, but TWO new additions to our always growing family! BOTH of my sisters are expecting!

This weekend we honored Ragan and the little one she and Brad will soon welcome into the world.

2 of Ragan's dear friends threw her a beautiful shower that we were honored to attend.

Just one night...

For as long as we have been married we have had "issues" with our bed. However, our biggest issue is the fact that the mattress is/was miserably uncomfortable. A bad mattress coupled with a bad back on top of the large numbers of children/animals that believe they are entitled to sleeping in our bed with us, are indicators that we have not had a decent night of sleep in 5 years. No exaggeration! :) We have longed for just one night of decent sleep for the LONGEST time!

We had gone to buy a bed several times; however, in our typical fashion we had always decided that there was either another fix OR that we really "needed" something more. (By "need" I mean "want" - I just felt that needed to be clarified!)

However, a couple of weeks ago Eric and I just decided that we had enough! With less than an hour to spare we ran to the store determined to purchase a bed...We were in-and-out in less than 30 minutes! And, the new bed, mattress, bedding, and rug were set to arrive shortly. Yes, it was done in our typical whirlwind fashion...who would expect anything else?

I am not going to lie, we got everything so fast I could not even remember what we bought! So, this Friday I was delightfully surprised when I got home...Eric had met the delivery people and it was all set up!

Below is what I saw!

Of course, I will have to "arrange" some things, but I was delightfully surprised! :) Our whirlwind purchases are always the best! :)

And, I must say, we had the very best night of sleep!

Bluebonnets!

It is just not spring in Texas without bluebonnets!

Playtime?

Things have been so wild in our house lately...This past weekend we literally were on the go from 6 in the morning until 11 at night! While we are always doing wonderfully fun stuff, I sometimes long for the simple times were we can just play...I do not think we ever just play enough.

Tonight -- well past our bedtime -- we still well at play, and I just did not have the heart to call an end to it! (I am sure this will not fare well tomorrow morning!)

We ate blocks, watched some Blue's Clues, built towers...It was all fun and games until G decided Cinderella and I should try to catch his blocks. Yep, it was then time to put the blocks away for the night.
While G was in the bathtub, Cinderella was all his dump-truck and basketball. Poor thing needs some girl toys in this house of boys!

Watch out! Give Cinderella any time to play, and she tried to walk! Give us a couple of weeks, and she will be running! She is determined! She will crawl, stop, stand up, fall down, crawl two more feet...repeat the process...It is a riot!

It is so much fun to watch my children grow!

Another Perfect Day...

Weekends are made perfect at home...For the 3rd night in a row the "street" BBQed, gathered in fellowship, watched the kiddos play, and simply enjoyed the beauty of the spring!

It is why I LOVE weekends...and why I LOVE our street...
I think this will be the ONLY car she will ever drive! :) She sure does think she is big! Ballerina thinks she can keep up with all of the older kids!
G loves to drive these little cars...

So, what does he do when he wants something? He calls his grandparents to tell them! Yep, it was GiGi's turn! He called to let her know immediately that he "needed" a car! Yep!

Big House

The long awaited Big House...A service JUST for children!

I am so thankful that our church is able to serve this unique group of believers. In my eyes they ARE the most important members of the church.

Our ENTIRE "old" main building and sanctuary has been newly dedicated to children. And while it is still "under construction," it is already the most incredible place for the kids...this is THEIR Big House!
