I have written before about some of our Christmas traditions. One of my favorite is the tradition we have to each make an ornament for our tree, and tonight we made our ornaments!
Eric and I bought the ornaments a couple of months ago, and at the time of purchase it was a great idea to have 4 kids painting; however, I will admit it was a little crazier than we had anticipated!
I began by detailing the expectations for the task...Even to Daddy! And, all was well for a few short moments! Then we let them paint on their own! But, like every year, they turned out incredible! P.S. Thanks Justin for the pics. Want to stay with us and be our personal photographer?
This morning I found G and Ballerina "dressed up" (not what I had put them in) playing by the Christmas tree. When I asked what they were doing, G said playing Christmas Prince and Princess. While I am not certain that Ballerina was as into the play as G, it warmed my heart to see them finding joy in the season. Check out her shoes and socks! Yes..she has on yellow boy socks I died for one of G's school activities!
Tonight they were going to spend the night at their grandparents, and I was pretty stoked!
However, instead they did this, and this made me even happier!Except for this one..Yes, she is trying to hit him! But, they are all now asleep...having the sweetest dreams!
So, it is not that the girlfriends in my brother's lives are not already a part of the family; however, now that Kason and Carla are ENGAGED there is some sort officialness about it now!
It is simply awesome to be a part of a big family that just seems to be getting bigger and bigger and bigger! And, last night we celebrated this...Although G is convinced that the wedding is tomorrow, the kids are pretty excited that Carla will be their aunt!I have to share some other pics...This is Justin and Lauren. There is a story; however, know I could NEVER capture Justin participating! I am SO mad! And, Ballerina is quite enthralled with her cousin and obsessed with giving her a paci. This was all they did over the course of the evening...But, they really do love each other...And, I love them too!Congrats Kason and Carla!
