Booseum

This weekend we catered to the little ones and spent the afternoon at the booseum with one of our favorite family of friends!

G and his "girlfriend" (but they do not love each other...just so you know...) had an absolute blast together!They jumped ...Ran obstacle courses...Played golf...And the beanbag toss...And after each game they would count their money and compare their earnings! (They are quite the competitors, and neither of them are very good losers or gracious winners!)We looked at some really awesome animals...We got a little creeped out in the haunted house...Oh, and we made candy!And, did I mention that we rode the train for nearly an hour?
Yep...we did!But, it was a nice break for this little brother...

Ballerina was really just interested in the sand...

I would also like to mention that Ballerina insisted on doing things that are somewhat inappropriate in her skirt and boots! No, I did not teach her any of that! What are we going to do about this?

She is such a mess!

It was one of the best afternoons...We love it when we can just "chill" together!

King of Excuses

G is persistent, confident, charming, intelligent and...well, he is quite the king of excuses!

Some lately...

Begging Eric to let him go play outside with the kids on the street instead of taking a bath...
"No Daddy...Why can't you understand? I do not need to take a bath to be happy! I need friendship!"


Trying to get out of going to Sunday School...
"But, I already know about God! I know everything there is to know about her!"

Trying to convince me that it is a good idea if he sleeps in his sister's room...
Me: "No, we are going to go to your room, get in bed and go to sleep. It is past your bedtime, and we have an early day tomorrow."
G: "Well, I promise I will only sneak one thing one time if you let me sleep in Ballerina's room! But, if you make me go to my room I am going to do two things two times!"

Happy, Happy Birthday!

I have been so bad with updating lately. I do not know why I just cannot seem to keep up! I started this post forever ago, and I am just now getting around to publishing it! I know...I am horrible!

However, I would like to say that just because I am so late in publishing things, it does not mean that this event was anything less than spectacular! Let's be honest, the 9th birthday is pretty darn incredible...for goodness sake, it is one's last year in the single digits, and that is pretty stinkin' big!

So, we celebrated big...First there was Papa's incredible hot dogs and Grandma Becky and Aunt Emily's really cool monster cake...(Of which I proceeded to eat entirely too much!)Then there was a concert with the "big family"...Where his little brother and sisters had a blast!

We all had a great time on Gunnar's 9th birthday...And, we pray that he did too!

Another Saturday...

This Saturday we did a lot of this...G scored 14 goals in his 2 games...Between the three boys I think we had 5 games!

They WANTED to pose for this picture! Ha! They even posed themselves!

Ballerina, Daddy and I mostly just chilled.

She did do a lot of playing with Daddy!
