When you are a 1/2 year old, we celebrate!  We celebrate big.

As much cake as a little girl a whole 1/2 year old can eat!

Dearest Rose, it is hard to believe you are already 6 months old!

You delight our souls.

And, you warm our hearts.

Texas Bluebonnets 2012

In Texas you take pictures in the bluebonnets in the spring.

You just do.

Sure, my kids probably hate it. Yes, we bribe them for 15 minutes of their time to indulge me. No, I do not have any issues bribing children for a good photograph. True, even with my bribes I rarely get a good picture...but...

Anyway, back to taking bluebonnet pictures in Texas...

You know, I cannot recall a year that I have not taken pictures of the kids in the bluebonnets. Shoot, even before I had kids my sister and I would drive around and take pictures of my dog in the bluebonnets.

And, when we didn't have a dog, we took pictures of each other in the bluebonnets...

Don't judge us... :)

We are Lucky!

It was little Miss Rose's first St. Patty's Day!

Sure, she was looking for luck in the clover...

However, truth be known, we are the lucky ones...so very lucky that this baby girl is a part of our family - our sister, daughter, child - this St. Patrick's Day!

Caught in the Act

So, the other night I caught G doing something he was not supposed to be doing.Reading!

He was supposed to have been fast asleep. He did indeed have school the next day.
But, I caught him reading instead of sleeping.
And, who could be mad about that?

Not I. Oh, not I.

Basketball

I feel as if basketball season came and went in a flash this year. Of course, I don't recall feeling that way when the season was in full swing; however, as I downloaded pictures today it seemed like so long ago (and truth be known it was only a couple of weeks ago).

G was stoked to be on the same team as a lot of his buddies from soccer (even the same coach). Boy, G LOVES him some Coach Greg! But, he also is delighted that daddy and Coach Rick are there too! He loves him some basketball too! Well, I have said it so many times before... he loves almost ALL sports! And, I LOVE that about him. He has a passion to play...and play anything...and it delights my soul...

So intense! See it?Always laser focused...And, I pray that this passion and focus transfers to other aspects of his life as he grows.Funny...We get a little restless when we are at basketball games! Just thought we would share what the girls are up to as their brothers play sports! :)
