When we learned I was having a girl, I dug out all of my sisters' an my old clothes my mother had tucked away for over 20 years. Much of it was ruined, but amazingly, there were a few pieces in perfect shape!
One of those pieces is the Chocolate Soup dress Ballerina wore today...It first belonged to Aunt Cambrey.
It is funny because I remember the outing when we bought this dress! At that time, there was just me and Cambrey, and the odds of Mom buying one of us something and not the other was slim; however, on this day, only Cambrey got a dress! It was on the clearance rack, and the little girl on the dress seemed just as proud of her "orange" hair as Cambrey did. It was as if the dress was meant to be hers!
Almost 30 years later, Ballerina wore it with the same pride! And, I feel as if she did many things in the dress of which her aunt would be quite proud!
She ate a extension cord in her dress!
Played with paint in her dress!
Practiced baseball in her dress.
Rode a scooter in her dress!
However, perhaps the most fitting...she threw a bloody fit in her dress! :)
We love you Aunt Cambrey!

You keep throwing those fits baby girl! It's the only way to get your bossy momma to listen to you! Keep that spirit and know that I love you! - Aunt Cambrey
