The pacis whip me. We have had 101 futile attempts to rid ourselves from them. G did not have one for close to 9 months...or that is until Ballerina was born when it spontaneously reappeared and has not disappeared ever since.
In fact, G will be 4 tomorrow, and yep, he still has it when he goes to sleep at night. We have discussed this several times with his peditrician; however, each time we leave with the same news I am not interested in hearing...to let him go to sleep with it he "will not take it to college."
I beg to differ with the Dr. at this point. I just think G might!
We are probably the worst parents for letting them continue to use them, but...

I am not proud of this but I will shed my pride to ease your worries...I sucked my thumb for years! I still think it is because it was my comfort for years while we traveled. I'm pretty sure my parents were in the same boat as you...asked every specialist possible what to do. Why did I finally stop? I was embarrassed my friends would see me at sleepovers. It might be something he has to WANT to stop...but don't worry, one day he will be too cool to have a pacy:)
