Wind Blown Soccer

I sometimes think that I would really enjoy living in the north. You know, where there is something called seasons, it does not get frying hot in August and the odds of your children seeing real snow at their house more than once in a lifetime is a true possibility!

Then there are days like Saturday, and I cannot help but to wonder if I really have it in me to live anything more north than where I am now! I mean, it was a little cool and windy on Saturday, and it all but ticked me off! I simply could not imagine why anyone thought that it was a sane decision to have any sporting event, much less a soccer game where you play in a field of nothing, on such a blistering day.

Then I talked to a friend of mine who was telling me of her expectation of snow...and I realized that I am a wimp.

However, I am not choosing to get over my wimpines and embrace the weather. The sunshine was beautiful and it surely warmed my heart, but it did not do a thing for my cheeks or fingers! :)

I am sad, however, that soccer season has come to an end for both Cannon and Gunnar! This season has been so fast! I feel as if it just started! This is some incredible goal tending going on... :) After the game, Gunnar;s team passed out the trophies!
The coach said a few words...And the rest of the family blew away in the wind!
I am sad that I do not have any pictures of Cannon's soccer! The battery to my camera died on our way to his game! His last game was a GREAT game! They tied the team they were playing, but it was, y far, the best soccer I saw them play all season!

With that, we are looking forward to the spring...May it bring us more soccer and less WIND! :)
