So, Denise...I am usually not very good at these things! Just ask some others who have asked me to participate before! However, in the spirit of the season (and to procrastinate working on work stuff tonight) I will play!

Welcome to the Christmas edition of getting to know your friends. Okay, here's what you're supposed to do, and try not to be a SCROOGE!!! Just copy (not forward) this entire post and paste into a new post. Change all the answers so that they apply to you. 'Tis the Season to be NICE!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?
Wrapping! Definitely! With LOTS of big bows...I do not have time AT ALL now, but I used to spend hours on the bows alone.
2. Real tree or Artificial?
In my ideal world, real. It reminds me of my childhood. I have such fond memories of picking out the prefect tree every year! However, I have always had a fake tree...and with the allergies in my house, it will probably always be that way. :(

3. When do you put up the tree?
Thanksgiving weekend! Sometimes the day before Thanksgiving!

4. When do you take the tree down?
After New Years

5. Do you like eggnog?
No! In fact, I think it is disgusting! Uck!

6. Favorite gift received as a child?
This one is really hard...I remember being super excited about the Cabbage Patch doll. It is my most vivid memory of praying I got something the night before and then really receiving it! :) However, surprising to some, I also really looked forward each year to the Hope Chest gift. Once I finally understood what it really was, it was exciting as a child to think about my wedding day and how that gift would be used. I know my brothers never felt the same way.
Oh, and when I was a senior in high school I got an angel candle from Kason that I was told he picked out himself. From my freshman year in college until this very day that angel candle has sat on my desk!

7. Do you have a nativity scene?
Yes! My incredibly talented father-in-law made it! It is one of those puzzle sets!

8. Hardest person to buy for?
Shopping for everyone is difficult for me...I want to find the perfect gift, and I always struggle. I usually end up giving up and settling! Then I am disappointed!

9. Easiest person to buy for?
Ballerina.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Mail...Although it might be the 24th before they are received!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
I do not know that I have had a bad one!

12. Favorite Christmas Movie?
I would have never had said this before, but Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! G is obsessed with Rudolph, and watching him watch it for the first time the other day warmed my heart in ways beyond words.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
Summer. I have to make plans then!

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Yes.

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas?
Those stupid olive/cheese balls I keep forgetting to ask Mom for the recipe...so I can make them! AND cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning.

16. Clear lights or colored on the tree?
Against the wishes of every family member in my house, clear.

17. Favorite Christmas song?
Silent Night

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
Stay at home.

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's?
Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen, and Rudolph. We sing this daily both on the way to school and on the way home. Sometimes we sing it multiple times on the way to school and on the way home! :)

20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
angel

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning?
Both! We open with Eric's family Christmas Eve and all others (including Santa) Christmas morning!

22. Most annoying thing about this time of year?
How I can never remember everything!

23. Favorite ornament theme or color?
Favorite ornament...On the family tree we have ornaments that we have all made throughout the years! Each year as a family we make new ornaments.

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner?
Hard to say...I enjoy all food in general, so it is difficult to have a favorite

25. What do you want for Christmas this year?
Nothing for myself really. I cannot stick to anything in particular, so I guess I really do not want anything that much. My greatest wish is that my children are delighted Christmas morning. I want them to have a perfect Christmas.

26. Who are you going to tag for this Christmas questionnaire??
Cambrey, Ragan, Carla and Lauren
