So, the weekend after it snowed we had a fun couples shower for my babiest brother, Kason, and his soon-to-be-wife, Carla.
It was a His-n-Hers sort of shower...We served lasagna and wine for her and pizza and beer for him on this Valentine's themed party. You know we did all of the normal things you do at showers like eat cake and open gifts...And take a ridiculous amount of posed pictures with our family...A prime example would be this picture of the 5 original Knight siblings that we feel it is ever so important to take each and every time we are together.I would have been sad if we did not take this one of Carla and all her sisters! And Carla and Kason with Carla's family...But, I am not so sure this one of Kason and all his brothers (minus Joe) is really necessary. I mean, their pose is pretty horrible! However, I fear they think that is is "cute." Ohhh....men!
It is also necessary each and every time all of the grandkids get together for us to attempt to take their picture. I sometimes wonder why we torture ourselves with this task. It has never really worked out before, and I do not know why we insist on thinking that it is going to work any better each and every time we attempt it! This time Adam was not really interested in participating...next time it will be a different one...
It takes us forever to pose for all of the pictures we insist on taking...but we also played some corny games...The Newlywed Game is always fun, and it makes me laugh that the parents never win this thing! What is up with that? Way to go Kason and Carla! There was also a game where all of the women kissed Kason and he had to pick out Carla while blindfolded from the crew. And one where Carla had to pick out Kason's legs from the line-up behind the blanket...Of course, it is just not a party unless the couple of honor makes a fool of themselves doing something silly like getting dressed for their honeymoon while blindfolded!
So cute! And, if I knew what he was doing with the doll at the party...or what they were doing together at the party, I am sure I would have more comments! Yet, since I have no clue really, I will refrain from making any comments that would probably be completely inappropriate for this child-friendly blog.
All-in-all it was a fabulous time at Kason and Carla's Couples Shower...and so very soon they will be wed! Perhaps I should start blogging about their wedding now...That might be the ONLY possibility that I will get it published before the end of summer! Ha!
