I love holidays.
I know I have said this before about a different holiday, but the 4th of July might be my very favorite holiday. To me, there is nothing greater than celebrating the birth of this great nation and giving tribute to all of those that have made our country the incredible nation it is today.
I love everything about it...the food, the fireworks, the music, the laid-back feel of the day...
Oh, and did I mention that I also love the look of the red, white and blue stuff? I know this is not really a reason for me to love a holiday, but I am not ashamed to admit that it is one of the high ranking reasons for me doing such! I mean, let's be honest, who could not love a holiday where our kiddos are dressed this precious!
Then, who could no love a holiday that involves music that moves you playing in perfect harmony with the firework display? (If you do not love this, I do not want to hear your comments...this DELIGHTS me!)
It is easy to see that our kids love the holiday too...they had SO much fun at the fireworks once we got there!Well, maybe Ballerina doesn't, but what does she like these days? (Somebody should have warned me that there terrible 2s are really the terrible 3s!)But, like any holiday in our house, there was always some sort of kink...This 4th of July it would be the fact that we spent a chunk of the evening in the ER because G needed some stitches....Well, there are really staples, but whatever...same thing...
Why did he need these you ask? Let's just say the score is swing in the front yard = 2/kids on the street = 0.
Happy Birthday America!
