A Kindergarten Polar Express

In August when a dear friend of mine asked if I wanted to co-coordinate the Polar Express Celebration for all of the kindergartners at G's school, it sounded like a good idea. Funny how things like this are always good ideas when they are 4 months out.

It is just that I am not really good at these sort of things. I am far better with middle schoolers and teachers than I am with kindergartners and parents.

However, G was SO STINKIN' excited! He looked forward to this day for weeks, and it only added to the excitement that the mom of his "girl friend" (not girlfriend) and I were going to be there! Here it is all set up...we were waiting on the kiddos to come...Here he comes with his most amazing teacher leading the way!The assistant principal took their tickets. (Note his hat...that thing took me FOREVER to make! Blah!)His ticket to the celebration!
With his girl friend, Ellen.Showing his sister the goodies on the table!
In awe... waiting for the special visitor...
The special visitor! Straight from the North Pole!It was a celebration to remember...
My friend and I might not have been the perfect coordinators of it, but it was a pretty perfect morning! I know it was a special Christmas celebration that G and his friends will always remember!
