Valentine Strawberry Pickin'

Those of you who know G, know that he is quite the fan of strawberries...You may even recall the more than one occasion where we have discovered him on the floor of his closet after having eaten an entire pint of strawberries. So, one can only imagine the excitement to this 4-year-old when we told him that we were off to pick strawberries...and that he could eat ALL he wanted! No doubt, this is his heaven!At first we were really ticked that this was takin' so stinkin' long! He had clearly envisioned that we would walk through the gate and there would be nothing but strawberries. This walking to the field did not suit him.It was as if we had let him in a candy store! His mood changed dramatically! It was a riot! He even became incredibly interested in assisting his sister!He could not stay contained as he hopped over rows seeking strawberries!And, it was necessary that he confirmed each one he picked with Eric and myself! These were not so good! Each time I turned around, however, it was Ballerina eating the berries! With his loot...It was as if he was carrying gold! We were instructed to be extra cautious because the strawberries were "so awesome!"Definitely another fun day at the orchard...Soon to return again!
